Design Engineer Flight Test Wiring (f/m/d) for Aviation

You will Create complex harnesses and assemblies. Additionally, you design and optimise 3D aerospace parts. The following tasks await you:

Create complex harnesses, assemblies and their routing throughout their lifecycle in CAD (Siemens NX) as well as design and optimise 3D aerospace parts in CAD (Siemens NX)
Derive electrical system schematics, wiring diagrams and 2D drawings appropriate for production and certification
Collaborate with engineers of other disciplines, for example Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering as well as prepare and continuously improve processes, guidelines and tools for EWIS design
Your profile:
Bachelor/ Master degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field is required
Minimum 3 years of aerospace experience, with good knowledge of a Part 21J design organisation environment
Experience with electrical harness design and routing in the context of aerospace
Strong knowledge of Siemens NX is beneficial (other CAD tool knowledge will be considered) as well as good knowledge of harness routing and installations rules (such as redundancy, segregations, protections, band radius, attachment, marking, etc.) is beneficial
Knowledge of electrical 2D drawing tools such as Electre, Zuken, Capital Graphics, Autocad Electrical, NX schematics is beneficial
Good knowledge of aerospace standards and specifications such as AC43.13-1B, ATA chapter 20, ATA 100, S1000D, ARP4754A and DO160 is beneficial
Demonstrable knowledge and ability to integrate state-of-the-art design and
manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs is required
Requirement of advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall
good drafting skills as well as Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (e.g Teamcenter)
Experience with regulatory requirements, standards and aerospace certification
procedures is beneficial
Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would
be beneficial
Working remotely is possible and submission of an English resume is required

Your profile:

Bachelor/ Master degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
5+ years of experience in topology optimization, structural analysis and crash and impact analysis with application to aircraft structures, automotive structures and in the best case to energy storages
Strong experience with lightweight design principles of composite materials, metals, adhesives, non-structural materials, and their structural behavior.
In-depth understanding of the loading scenarios and mechanical behaviour of aircraft structures
Excellent in topology optimization, stress, fatigue, structural dynamics, crash and impact analysis methods
Extensive working experience with commercial implicit tools (knowledge of OptiStruct,
Nastran and their corresponding pre/post-processors is of preference) is a must, and
with explicit FE codes (i.e. LS-DYNA, Radioss) is beneficial.
Working experienced with CAD software (i.e NX, CATIA) is beneficial
Experienced with the agile concept and fast iterative pre-design phase of the R&T process
Pragmatic, creative and target-oriented way of working with a pro-active mindset.
Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would
be beneficial
Working on-site (remote work possible) and submission of English resume required
